Welcome to creative model boats

Welcome to my Web site!

My name is Marc Rigden and I hope I can show you the world of scale model boats.  The site will show you the different types of building you can come across and I will be showing you how to scratch build from a set of plans. So please have a look around the site and email me with any comments.

On the site I will be introducing you to a good model builder John Elsy, John has not only made scale model boats but also the "real I am's". I will have a page dedicated to John's builds.

I am using this site as my test bed in to the world of web site building so if you can be  patient with me.

This is one of my new boats. It was built by Dave Milbourn, it is fitted a steerable kort nozzle and working lights, search lights and radar.  This model is going to be used for steering competitions. So watch out at for the results.

Here you can see the electrics fitted

This is samurai, a deep vee hull with single prop but fast and very manoeuvrable, powered by NiCad's and fitted with a 500 motor.

This is Saltwell Park in Gateshead on a cold winters morning. There is about 2 acres of water with a small island. With about 60 members, you will always find a friendly face at the lakeside and with the use of a training building in the park, you can get a hot cuppa and a chat
